What to Do on Labor Day

Labor Day is a day in the United States for it's citizens to take a rest from the busy ongoing working lifestyle.

On average according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Americans get 10 days of paid vacation. Below is a photo journal of a labor day celebration with friends and family taking a day to rest before the fall season begins.

Family Gathering

This was one of my favorite days ending the summer. We were surrounded by family and by love. The food was incredible. September marks my 1 year anniversary of no eating meat and so to celebrate I tried the pork that had been sizzling under the grill. Perfection. It did not make my stomach hurt either which I think is a common conception with vegetarians eating meat.

I had so much help with my son. Everyone took turns chasing him down and making sure he was safe. It really does take a village to raise a child. I hope that one day I can give back all of the love and support I have received so far. This labor day was to me a day of thanks for all the love in our lives.
